I'm Home!
First of all, if you read my blog via Bloglines, you should click through and check out my new template. Megan at Webundance did this one for me. Yay!
I just got home from Vegas a couple of hours ago, whereas I was SUPPOSED to get home yesterday. We had flight delays, weather issues, the plane ran out of gas, we missed our connecting flight, we had to stay in Denver all night, we still have no luggage...
Wait. Did you people catch that? The plane. It ran out of gas.
We were circling Denver, trying to land before the storm there hit and the pilot came over the intercom saying he didn't have enough fuel to circle anymore and we'd fly to Colorado Springs to fill up and then try again.
Umm. Say what? You didn't think to do this whole "put gas in the plane" thing BEFORE we took off?
I have loads of pictures, but WAY too many to post here. I'll get a Flickr album or something for all your curiosities. Here are a few, though.

Cool, you got to meet Penn and have your picture taken. I'm jealous.
NYNY smelled funny, so I didn't like it. The pool at Mandalay Bay was gorgeous!

I luuuuuuuuurve Penn Jilette! I even love that he named his daughter Moxie Crimefighter, and got many a shiner on an online message board defending his decision to do just that.
Glad you had a great trip and lurve the new look too. Meagan rocks it.

Like the overall new look, but the layout is wider than my browser at full-screen. And the "Posted by..." font in your comments section is kinda teensy and not readable. Maybe I'm just old and my eyes are screwy. Pretty header graphic, even if it is fish. yuck.

So how friggin' tall is Penn? I always assumed you were like 5'7" or something. Unless I'm completely off, he's a monster.

LOVED the Penn and Teller show. Have you seen Bullshit, their show on HBO. Love it.

Erin - HAHAH!! It's funny you say that. The first time I walked into Mandalay, I said "mmmm...casino smell". I love it! :)
Mom101 - I named my dog Moxie before I knew about Penn's daughter. So me and him? We have a connection. I wonder if he woulda loved me if I'd have told him about my Moxie??
CyberCelt - Haha! Yeah...it wasn't the best announcement I've ever heard. LOL

Kevin - You're 100% right. I'm 5'7"...so Penn is somewhere around 17' tall. Freaking monster, he is.

Do you watch the Simpsons? There's an episode where Marge delves deep to find the reason she's so afraid to fly. And she gets on the plane and starts freaking out and runs up and down the aisle shouting, 'LEMMIE OUT LEMMIE OUT LEMMIE OUT!' over and over.
That would be me if the plane I were flying in ran out of gas. Good goddamn, girl. That's scary.

i think the reason the plane was low on fuel is because they only put enough on board to get there. that way they can throw on more PAID cargo with the savings in weight. scary though it is.
