My (Other) List
Right before I turned 30, I started writing down a little list of things I want to do before I die. I just dug it up so I could revisit it. I thought I'd share.
- Take a long roadtrip by myself
- Have a(t least one) book published
- Take swing dance lessons
- Become fluent in at least one foreign language
- Live in at least one different state (though several would be nice)
- Live at least for a couple of months in a different country
Let's see...I can already mark 3 of those things off the list!
In May 2005 (4 months after I made the list), I took a roadtrip by myself for 15 days.
In April of this year, I started taking swing lessons. And salsa lessons. And tango lessons.
And, come November/December, I'm moving out-of-state, yo.
As of right now, I just want to add one more to the list : take another big roadtrip. The last one was just amazing. This next one doesn't have to be by myself - just as long as I get to drive, baby!

What's on your lists??

Snorkel in Honduras.
Learn to scuba dive.
Hike the Kalaulau trail in Kauai.
Publish a book.

Number one would be watch my child grow up.
Then there is going to the UK, Germany, Brazil, and Hawaii.
*thinks about it*
I've done a lot already.
Oh yeah, I would like to learn to play that Fender Strat and the Ibanez bass. I mean, I can play them both. I want to play them ... better.
Yeah, I'm done.

Hmmm, good question. I may steal this for a post of my own. Lord knows I'm not coming up with shit lately.

There is definately nothing better then a road trip. Mmm now you've got me wanting to plan one too!!! Well, it will have to wait for at least another year :(

- Go to Europe (I know - I've been to Tahiti, but not to Europe, it's silly.)
- Be a Grandmother
- See an Opera at La Scala (I guess this would also cover my first one by default)
- Go to a Super Bowl
Suebob - Scuba diving is a good one! I'm certified, and let me tell ya, there's NOTHING like it. I love it sooo much! That should be another on my list - dive in a lot of different places. You'll love it!
Adena - ROFLMAO!!! That made me snort!
Maidink - Nice!! I'd love to see Brazil. *swoon*
Karl - THEN GET AFTER IT, DAMMIT!!!!!!
Beee - Come on over to the US and we'll go together! ;)
Sarah - Definitely Europe! Of course, once I get over there, I'd have to actually move in somewhere so I can mark two off at once. Hehe!

I have always loved the piano! I can play some now although NOT by reading notes. I would love to learn how to read music so I can play anything!! I know it is still not to late to take piano lessons! So this would definitely be one thing I would love to do before I die! :)

I just want to finally kill that waskally wabbit. Fucker's been ruining my game for years. Elmer needs to lay some pipe, and not with some boy wabbit dressed like a sexy girl wabbit.

I'm not sure I could take a road trip alone... although I AM the funniest person I know. but i don't think I'm that comfortable with solo time.
Maybe I should try it...
Geez - that's tough. Hmmmmmmmmmm......
1. Learn spanish. If successful, then french - just in case I ever do get to France - or Canada.
2. Take another stab at either guitar or piano - this time w/o a teacher that makes me play "When the Saints Go Marching In" or "Tom Dooley."
3. Travel lots more - mostly by car (flying sucks).
4. Maybe live in a few more cities before I croak - I've only done 3 in TX and one in OK (I'm talkin' cites, pervert)
I'm sure there's more - just generally try to have good time in the time that's left.
5. OH!!! Get Chase & Shellie contractually obligated to come the "the home" at least twice a week to rub linament on my wrinkly bottom. (A foot rub would be good, too)

1. Get my girl to come see me in NY. *cough cough cough* Then go on a roadtrip with her.
Some of the best memories of my life were from our trip from OK to NC. How many hours did I drive straight, like 20?? And the flat tire? On lordy.
Anyway, that's all I have on my list so far!

Maybe I'm just not goal-oriented because my list is full of intangibles that don't have any sort of finish line or box that can be checked off.
With the exception of my promise to myself that I will live in New York again. But that was a condition of agreeing to move out here.
Congrats on achieving some of your goals. Good luck with the rest of them. I'm pulling for you.

Oh crap. Now you have me thinking. Please don't do that, it's on MY list, see?
Things to do before I die:
1. Meet Chase
2. Meet Karl
3. Make Chase smoke again
4. Make Karl smoke again
5. Stop thinking
Damn and it was almost all completed!
