Not That I Know From Experience Or Anything...

If you wear your engagement ring and don't take it off...like...ever EVER?   Well, there's a possibility that moisture will get trapped under there and will cause a fungus to start growing under your skin on that finger.

And, like, people who you work in the pharmacy with might start saying you have jock itch on your finger and pointing and laughing because you have A NASTY FREAKING FUNGUS under your ring.

They may also throw around the words "athlete's foot" and "ringworm" just for added fun.

I'm just sayin.  I mean...that's what I've heard.

(I also heard a little cream will kick a fungus' ass within 2 days.)

(And that you should prolly take your ring off once in awhile.)

(Yeah.)

E-e-e-w-w! It's nice that you're so devoted and all, but - better take care of that!

I am so quoting this story next time someone makes fun of me for taking off my e-ring every time I wash my hands. Yes, call me nuts, but I can't stand that icky moisty-wet feeling under your ring if you leave your ring on when your hand gets wet.

Or a yeast infection which is actually something I got (did I admit that on the Internet?). It's possible to get yeast infections in other areas, I promise ;) I took the ring off for a day or so... gone! (Funny post.)

I try to take mine off on days that it is REALLY cold and I have had no salty food...or should I say I can take mine off under those circumstances. Another fun pharmacy game is getting your herpes meds refilled...FOR YOUR COLD SORES. Everyone just assumes that you have vajayjay issues....

Sounds like you have access to a prescription cream, but another alternative is tea tree oil. :-)

Y'know, I need to show this to my husband. I've been taking off my jewelry when I come home for as long as I can remember. My Mom does it, too. The way people kick off their shoes and get into comfy clothes, that's the way I feel about my jewelry. The way my hubby comes home, shucks his clothes right there in the family room, then immediately hops on WOW...that's how I feel about my jewelry. My own sister gave me shit (in a teasing sisterly way, of course) for removing my ring when I come home. I'm the one that washes clothes. I'm the one that washes the fucking dishes. He misplaced his band and I found it on the ground in the wash house (after he told me he left it on the table right next to the computer). I gave him shit for that. "Yours was a lot more expensive than mine," he tells me. "And that's why I take off my jewelry when I get home." Well that, and so what happened to you will never happen to me. LOL.
